Now two-time winners of the World Cup, Spain did it in the final and took the biggest prize in football, the World Cup. Spain won their first World Cup in 2010 against Holland with a 1- 0 scoreline, and the final with Argentina was 1 – 0.

The game was well balanced, with Spain taking it to Argentina. There were plenty of fouls, and a red card was shown to a player from Argentina for receiving two yellow cards in the second half.

Extra time was needed, and 1 minute into the second half of extra time, Torres scored and put Spain into the lead. Spain also had a second goal disallowed due to offside. Spain kept attacking even though Argentina was on a full push.

And that was it; the whistle blew, and we had two-time champions Spain.

Directly after the match, Argentinian players attacked some of the Spanish team’s players. Punches and kicks were seen; it was disgraceful.

It’s well done to Spain and its team for putting on a good show. Enjoy the extra star on your shirt.
